Laura Lea Comeau has been exhibiting and creating art for the last 25+ years. She has been able to fully pursue her art full time since 2004 with the support of her husband John. She primarily works in acrylics and watercolours, but maintains a passion for black and white ink drawings as well.

Her art is inspired by her love of nature and the beauty of Canada. Each painting attempts to translate this beauty to the viewer as seen and experienced by the artist.

In 2007 she was awarded a Northern Arts grant by the Ontario Arts Council for her project Historic Bays of North West Ontario. She has self published several photography books of Northern Ontario and published a culmination of her art work.

She was a participant in the traveling art exhibition with the North Shore Ontario artists on Lake Superior in 2009.

She has done several commissioned pieces for Barrick Gold/Hemlo Mines and PGM mine of Marathon Ontario

Laura Lea now works from her home studio in Derby, New Brunswick ( Miramichi ) where she lives with her husband John Larry Comeau and can be contacted by email at Lauracomeauart@gmail.com
